For accounting firmsAI for accounting firms

From manual entry to automated bookkeeping.

Do you have 3 to 30 people keeping the books for 50 to 500 clients? Then you know how much time retyping incoming invoices eats. I set up an AI that reads them for you, classifies them against your chart of accounts and pushes them into Minimax, Pantheon or Synesis. I also handle the EU voucher paperwork, from the ENPOO application to the cost breakdown.

Built for Croatian accounting firms. This work is built around Croatian bookkeeping software (Minimax, Pantheon, Synesis) and the Croatian e-invoicing scheme. If you run an accounting firm elsewhere the same automation applies, but the integrations differ: talk to me directly.

What actually hurts

Four places where firms lose tens of thousands of euros a year.

These are not invented numbers. They come from conversations with owners of firms that have 3 to 30 people working for 50 to 500 clients. A typical firm, not an outlier.

Typing in incoming invoices by hand

A bookkeeper opens the PDF and retypes the company ID, date, amount and line items into Minimax or Pantheon. Eight to twelve minutes per invoice. That has not changed in years; it only grows by hiring more people.

22-30K EUR of hidden cost a year

Mandatory e-invoicing since January 2026

Your clients already receive e-invoices in the CIUS-HR format. Without automation your team pulls them off the FINA Moj-eRačun portal by hand, every day, for each client separately. The volume grows, the headcount does not.

+25 hours a week per firm, expected

“Where is my invoice?”

The question arrives through five channels: phone, email, WhatsApp, Viber and in person at the door. The team answers the same question ten times a day instead of clients seeing the status themselves in a portal.

1,500-3,000 EUR a month on “where is my invoice”

There are no bookkeepers on the market

The Croatian labour market is at a historic low. Junior hourly rates jumped 30 per cent in two years. Without automation a firm cannot take on more clients, because there is nobody to hire.

15-40K EUR of missed revenue a year

Common questions

The questions that keep coming up.

What changed with mandatory e-invoicing in Croatia in 2026?+

The Zakon o fiskalizaciji 2.0 (Croatia's Fiscalisation Act) made issuing and receiving e-invoices mandatory for all B2B transactions from 1 January 2026, under the CIUS-HR scheme. In practice every incoming invoice your clients receive arrives as structured XML through FINA Moj-eRačun (the state e-invoicing exchange), not as a PDF or a photo. I set up an AI that reads that XML and classifies it against your chart of accounts automatically, which removes 70 to 85 per cent of the manual work. Without automation, the workload grows with the e-invoice volume.

Which accounting software do you integrate with?+

I work directly with Minimax (API), Pantheon (REST and files), Synesis and Luceed (files and custom). If your software has no API, I use its import format (CSV or XML templates). We establish which software you run and whether a custom integration is needed during the call, and I price all of it up front. No surprises.

How long does the investment realistically take to pay back?+

A typical firm with 30 clients processes around 1,500 invoices a month. At eight minutes per invoice and a labour cost of 12 EUR an hour, the hidden cost is about 30,000 EUR a year. The AI automation gives back roughly 22,500 EUR a year (calculated at 75 per cent efficiency). A project of around 5,500 EUR pays back in three months; with the Croatian voucher your share is about 2,200 EUR, so it pays back in roughly a month.

Where is client data stored? Is it GDPR-ready?+

The whole infrastructure sits in the EU region (Frankfurt). Vercel EU, a Neon EU database, OCR through Mistral EU or Azure Document Intelligence EU. No US option. I sign a data processing agreement: your firm remains the controller, I am the processor. Every action is logged, with 11-year retention as Croatian accounting law requires.

What if a client sends a handwritten invoice or a bad photo?+

Most documents go through Mistral OCR. Hard cases (handwriting, creased paper, poor light) fall back to Google Document AI. Anything the system is unsure about goes into a manual review queue. You validate those in a couple of seconds and the system learns from it, so next time the same supplier passes automatically. In the first 30 days, realistically 5 to 15 per cent of documents need a human. After 90 days it falls to 2 to 5 per cent.
