The mandatory withdrawal button, without a line of code
Since 19 June 2026 every webshop selling to consumers in Croatia must let them withdraw from a contract through a simple function in the interface. I set it up, host it and maintain it. You paste one link into your footer; everything else, from the form to the automatic confirmation, runs by itself. One-off 74 EUR.
The customer-facing form is in Croatian. The hosted withdrawal form is written for Croatian consumers, because that is who submits it. The setup, the instructions and all correspondence with you are in English. If you need it in another language, talk to me directly.
A hosted function for withdrawing from a contract
I set it up for you at ai.webica.hr/raskid/your-shop. The customer submits a withdrawal statement in two steps, and the system immediately sends a receipt to the customer and a notification to you. Nothing to install and nothing to program: the whole function lives on my infrastructure and you simply link to it from your footer.
- A two-step form: step one collects the order and customer details, step two is the explicit confirmation (the customer has to click deliberately).
- Personalised to your shop: the customer sees your shop name and a clear statement that they are withdrawing from a contract with you.
- The form is in Croatian and follows Zakon o zaštiti potrošača, Article 81.a (the Croatian Consumer Protection Act), which transposes Directive (EU) 2023/2673.
A legal obligation since 19 June 2026
Article 81.a requires traders selling at a distance through an online interface to let the customer withdraw through a simple withdrawal function, available for the whole withdrawal period. In practice: withdrawing must be as easy as buying was, with no paperwork and no obstacles.
A legal obligation
The function must be available in the interface, and the withdrawal is confirmed on a durable medium with the date and time.
Inspection risk
Non-compliance carries the risk of an inspection. Better to be ready before the deadline than to explain why the function is missing.
Almost nobody has it
Most shops selling into Croatia have yet to set this up. A chance to be among the ones in order.

As soon as the customer confirms, they receive a receipt by email with the exact date and time and the content of the statement, exactly as Article 81.a requires.
As the trader you immediately receive an email with all the order and customer details (order number, dates, return address, note).
The infrastructure, uptime and email are mine to look after. You do not deal with the technology or the updates.

Every submitted statement is recorded, so you always have proof of when and for which order a withdrawal was filed.
From payment to a working function

After payment the system creates your withdrawal function automatically and emails you the finished footer link and an HTML snippet.

You add that link to your webshop footer (following the instructions for your platform below). That is all the work on your side.

A customer who wants to withdraw clicks the link and opens a form showing your shop name.

Step 1: the customer enters the order number, name and email, and optionally the dates, return address and a note.

Step 2: the customer is shown a clear withdrawal statement and confirms it with an explicit click. Only that click submits the statement.

The customer immediately receives a receipt by email (a durable medium) with the date and time, which they can keep as proof.

At the same moment you receive a notification with all the order and customer details, plus a reminder of the refund deadline.

You handle the refund directly with the customer. Every statement stays on record as a trail.
Where to paste the link, by platform
After buying you receive the exact link and an HTML snippet. Here is where it goes in the most common platforms:
Shopify
- 1.Online Store → Navigation → choose the Footer menu.
- 2.Add menu item. Name: “Withdraw from contract”.
- 3.Link: paste your link (external URL) from the email you get after buying.
- 4.Save. The link appears in the footer alongside your other legal pages.
WooCommerce / WordPress
- 1.Appearance → Menus or Widgets, depending on your theme.
- 2.Choose the footer menu (often “Footer Menu”).
- 3.Custom links: URL = your link, Text = “Withdraw from contract”.
- 4.Add to menu, order it and save. For a block footer (FSE), add a Link block.
Shoptet
- 1.Appearance and content → Footer navigation.
- 2.Add a new menu item to the footer.
- 3.Text: “Withdraw from contract”. Target: external URL (your link).
- 4.Save. The link shows in the footer alongside your other legal texts.
Magento / Adobe Commerce
- 1.Content → Blocks (or Pages) → open the footer block.
- 2.In the HTML editor add: <a href="your-link">Withdraw from contract</a>.
- 3.Save the block and flush the cache (Cache Management → Flush).
- 4.Check the storefront footer to confirm the link shows.
Any platform (HTML)
- 1.One line in the footer is enough, next to your other legal links:

Everything you are probably wondering
Do I have to code or install anything myself?
No. I host and set up the whole function. Your only job is pasting one link into your footer, and I give you exact instructions for your platform. If you want, I will help with that step too.
Is this legal advice?
No. This is a technical service: setting up and hosting a withdrawal function under Article 81.a of the Croatian Consumer Protection Act and Directive (EU) 2023/2673. I am not a lawyer and I do not interpret your particular legal situation. For a legal assessment, have a lawyer review it.
Who processes the refund, you or me?
You do, directly with the customer, because you hold the contract and the payment details. My function receives and records the statement, sends the customer a receipt, and sends you a notification with every detail plus a reminder of the refund deadline.
Are there hidden monthly costs?
None. The price is a one-off 74 EUR covering setup and hosting. No subscription and no hidden costs: you pay once and the function stays live.
Who sees customer data, and what about GDPR?
Data from the form goes only to you as the trader, to your email. The statement is stored as a trail on infrastructure in the EU. I store the IP address only as a hashed trail against abuse. I am the technical provider of the function; you remain the controller towards your customers.
Does this apply to every kind of contract?
The function covers distance contracts concluded through an online interface where the customer has a right of withdrawal, which in practice covers webshops, subscriptions and digital services. For exemptions from the right of withdrawal (custom-made goods, perishables, unsealed hygiene products), check with a lawyer.
What does the customer get as proof?
As soon as they confirm, the customer receives a receipt by email on a durable medium, with the exact date and time of submission and the order number. That is precisely the confirmation Article 81.a requires.
What if I need help setting it up?
Just reply to the email you receive after buying. I will send instructions for your platform and, if needed, place the link myself so the function is visible in time.
